Nelly se 18. června objevila na zahájení Luminato festivalu, na kterém vystoupí v rámci Color Guard show ve dnech 22. - 23. června v Torontu a 27. - 28. června v New Yorku.

Nelly Furtado vystoupí na color guard show | Nelly Furtado debuting David Byrne's color guard show

Nelly Furtado, David Byrne, St. Vincent, Kelis, Devonté Hynes a další umělci vystoupí na světové premiéře 'Contemporary Colour'. Jedná se o živé vystoupení deseti barevných gard - středoškolských týmů, z celé Severní Ameriky, společně se zmíněnými umělci. Každý umělec pracuje osobně s jedním studentským týmem barevných gard a společně tvoří ohromující směs zbrusu nové originální hudby. Všechny vystupující bude doprovázet 15ti členná kapela. Barevné gardy spojují vojenskou tradici se zdatností a akrobacií, za použití vlajek, pušek a šavlí. Tato jedinečná 100 minutová show se uskuteční v rámci Luminato Festivalu v Torontu (The Air Canada Centre), ve dnech 22. a 23. června a poté se na 27. a 28. června přesune do New Yorku (Barclays Center). Nelly Furtado, David Byrne, St. Vincent, Kelis and Devonté Hynes are among the artists who will present the world premiere of Contemporary Color - a live performance featuring 10 colour guard teams from across North America - at this year’s Luminato Festival in Toronto. Each superstar artist works one-on-one with a student colour guard team to produce a mind-blowing meld of brand new, original music. The performers will be backed by a 15-piece band. Colour guard teams combine military tradition with athleticism and acrobatics using flags, rifles and sabres. The unique, 100-minutes long show is scheduled for June 22 and 23 at the Air Canada Centre. It will then be staged at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on June 27 and 28.
